Summer of Love survivor

I don't know how Jon Rispante digs 'em up, but he found this '66 Bonneville custom with just 189 miles on the clock from new, before getting it back on the road.

Bought new in '66, and disassembled for paint and chrome in early '67, the Vietnam war meant the owner never got to enjoy the finished bike. It had never had petrol or oil in its newly-painted and newly-chromed tanks when Jon found it.

You couldn't find a more perfect survivor, or snapshot of a mid-sixties mild custom. It even has its original 'Made in England' spark plugs.

Feature soon in GKM.
